Bant Prophet Flash

(Sorry, another magic post)

Saw Reid Duke's list and I'm instantly hooked. Prime Speaker Bant isnt new but Reid is playing with comparably lesser amount of creature than standard PS Bant. For reference, most list only plays Sphinx and Primeval as noncreatures. After further finetuning, I ended up with this

I feel like the biggest change here is that I play Supreme Verdict. Obviously I'm not that bad to play it alongside multiple dorks. I've never been a fan of mana dorks anyway; they can get flooded (if I have nothing to cast those manas for, they are useless) and more importantly, make me more vulnerable to sweeper. It also doesnt feel right to play them in a 'control' deck. 4 Sylvan Caryatid is a mainstay for obvious reasons (see Matt Costa's Jund, another recent hype) .Sometimes even few cards selection can change the direction of a deck and whether it will succed or fail. Compare Matt's list to this...

This is probably the deck I enjoy playing the most ever and has surprisingly been quite consistent. Basically when Prophet resolves it is pretty hard to lose

Tribute Set Metaion

Life point: 450 me to my opponent's 600. I had Kaiser Colosseum and a face down Royal Decree, a Steelswarm Roach(he was playing Zombie) and a Glassjaw. My opponent had just gone Tour Guide into Zenmaines. If he read through my bluff, a Leviathan Dragon would have won him the game. Instead I got an extra turn. What happened next was I took too long to decide on the optimal play and lose via time. My hand was: Blaster, some B-Boxers, and Metaion the Timelord. I clearly had no direct answer to Zenmaines this turn. My first mistake was I didn't have Cowboy/Corn/Papillo in The Extra.

After the game, I'm convinced of the best answer: Tribute Set Metaion.

I was reminded by one great sage words of wisdom

The Rabbit

3 Wind-Up Rabbit
3 Kinka-Byo
3 Mystic Piper
2 Cyber Valley
2 Battle Fader/Treeborn Frog
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness

3 Pot of Duality
3 United We Stand
2 Where Arf Thou?
2 Scapegoat
1 Enemy Controller
1 Book of Moon
1 MST
1 Dark Hole

2 Zero Force
2 Fiendish Chain
2 Mirror Force
1 Needle Ceiling
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Solemn Warning
1 Compulsory Evacuation Device
1 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Vanity's Emptiness

I want to put Hidden Armory here but that would mean fitting in another Equip Spell. Im mostly inclined to try Big Bang Shot which is kinda cool and ensure you dont lose to something like Spirit Reaper. Also if your opponent is low on life, just set Valley/Piper down and put Big Bang on your opponent;s monster

TOON Destiny

Reference build: http://duelistgroundz.com/index.php?showtopic=155962

IS ROUGH DRAFT JUST

1 Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon
1 Dark Armed Dragon
1 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
3 Destiny Hero - Malicious
2 Destiny Hero - Plasma
2 Plaguespreader Zombie
2 Maxx "C"
2 Toon Mermaid
2 Summoner Monk
1 Raiden, Lightsworn Assailant
1 Armageddon Knight
1 Dark Grepher

3 Scapegoat
3 Destiny Draw
3 Toon Table of Contents
1 Toon World
2 Trade-In
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Foolish Burial
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Reinforcement of the Army

2 Vanity's Emptiness
2 Mirror Force ?probably
1 Skill Drain/IIW

Also losing Stratos sucks but at least we get Raiden. and there are some nifty play you can make now

like

Grepher/Knight, set up PSZ + Malicious. Synchro for Vulcan, return Malicious to hand and discard it for Destiny Draw.

or return another face-up card for Vulcan, go for M7 go grab Malicious discard D-Draw ya its similar above

Alternatively/or

Have Imperial Iron Wall face-up, set up Vulcan summon, return IIW to hand, and you are free to Malicious go for Rank 6, then again lock The best deck of the format with IIW. The best part? Plaguespreader isn't banished so you can synchro for Void Ogre Dragon if you dont feel like going for M7, set IIW again and proceed to lock The best deck of the format.

No longer there a need to play Zephyrus since Vulcan exist

Raiden:
>LIGHT
>tuner
>level 4
>true warrior
>incredible

That sounds like a prerequisite for the current best Summoner Monk target

Raiden milling Plague/Malicious is cute too. And if you have space in extra deck, Goat Tokens + Raiden can bring out AncientSacredWyvern as alternate wincon

Also, apparently TCGplayer Forum has been down for about a month. I hereby swear I didnt do anything really

p/s-This little wall of text doesnt have much to do with the above build.

Its been a month

YCS San Mateo has just passed but I was barely paying attention to the coverage.

Dragons dominated and will continue to do so. Honestly the dominance level is getting ridiculously similar to teledad format except rogue deck stands more chance to steal game nowadays. Mermail flops terribly.

Merlin's 1st place deck doesnt play Vanity's Emptiness. Pat Hoban dropped Emptiness from his deck. Josh Graham regrets playing it. I never play more than 1 Emptiness in any of my Dragon variants as I always feel its a card with limited range and doesnt quite warrant the 2 deck space it currently holds. Don't you think its odd that people choose to main 0/1 MST despite this being prevalent?

Good to finally see people caught up with Darkspear(Trident). I've seen ZERO discussion on this at all which is ridiculous considering its, in the word of Josh, 'a searchable Return'. He also maindecks D.D. Crow and have Skill Drain in sideboard.

Also obligatory shoutout to fellow ex-TCGPlayer, Mike Klasel for making Top 16 as the highest placed Spellbook player and the deck's one and only representative in Top 32. He doesn't play World of Prophecy.

Something Worth Leaving Behind

This deck I'm going to post is something that came up when I look at my past posts/decks, and stumbled upon this raw build that I posted last format. Its probably the most 'meta' deck I've built yet, and that's because it uses a meta skeleton. I posted this on TCGplayer WITH an explanation but received no response at the time of writing (minus a disabled guy who only cares about his post count). Was a bit dissappointed as I've been a member for more than 5 yrs. I get it the forum is dead and I wasnt a known figure somehow..... but apparently there is talk of reviving the forum and if a loyal member of your community cant even get a response for mere deck post, you need to do better. FFS, there are five mods left last time I check.

Anyway, here it is cp'd from my thread. I'd also added the Extra Deck

3 Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos
3 Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders
3 Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms
3 Gusto Egul
3 Gusto Griffin
2 Maxx "C"
1 D.D. Crow
1 Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto
1 Dragunity Darkspear
1 Flamvell Guard
1 Swift Scarecrow
3 Dragon Ravine
3 Sacred Sword of Seven Stars
2 Terraforming
1 Gold Sarcophagus
1 Book of Moon
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Raigeki Break
1 Icarus Attack
1 Solemn Warning
1 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Vanity's Emptiness
1 Return from the Different Dimension
2 Crimson Blader
1 Star Eater
1 Trident Dragion
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Scrap Dragon
1 Colossal Fighter
1 Black Rose Dragon
1 Daigusto Sphreez
1 Armory Arm
1 Mist Bird Clausolas
2 Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
1 Big Eye
1 Gachi Gachi Gantetsu
Basic Dragon Ruler skeleton playing Gusto engine for value off Ravine so basically its not too dissimilar to Mermail/Dragunity Ruler. I also think this is less susceptible to hand traps because you can stop at Reeze when C got dropped on you
Basic combo is Tempest + Griffin, grab other color to set up for next turn. Reeze is a good first turn drop, and if you have Ravine, there is an option to grab Dragunity Darkspear and make Stardust. Tl;dr - Ravine + Griffin = LV8 Synchros.
Daigusto Sphreez is another decent option for early drop. Egul + Reeze = this. You are then able to recycle Griffin for more mileage off Tempest/Ravine next turn. Sphreez also forces your opponent to answer it with a card not named Crimson Blader
Finally, if MST is chained to Ravine's effect, you already gain value if Griffin is discarded, which gives this build a slight edge over other Rulers variant

I would like to add Sphreez has been more helpful than I expected. Usually Reeze can bait Veiler/Fiendish and you can tune it with Egul to bring out Sphreez, which is then free to retrieve Griffin with Veiler gone. Darkspear has been amazing so far, as alternative route to win condition and for being a versatile level 3 OR 1 Tuner. It doesnt let you bring out Star Eater like Delta Flyer able to but when Drascension the Supreme Sky Dragon is released it would be ridiculous.

The synchro that I used the most has been Crimson Blader. I am testing Divine Wrath over Return currently. There are this category of cards that I primarily hate (Rekindling, Grapha, Return, etc. - oh and Garunix comes close) mainly for being too unfair. Having said that, Divine Wrath has been putting in works, such as allowing me to OTK easier with Trident Dragion. In fact, every cards in main deck has been really decent. The only card that I haven't used is Armory Arm and I might take that out for Slacker Magician. I think Evilswarm has little answer to Slacker so that might help? Idk.

and that's it I guess. cya

New Format - Tiltwings

Need to beat myself up for not thinking this muchhh earlier

3 Mecha Phantom Beast/MPB Tetherwolf
3 MPB BlackFalcon
3 MPB HamStrato
3 MPB Aerosguin
2 MPB Coltwing
1 MPB Warbluran
2 Machina Fortress
1 Machina Gearframe

3 Scramble times two
3 Scapegoat
3 Black Garden
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Limiter Removal
1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
1 Token Sundae

3 Aerial Recharge
4 (empty slot)

This deck probably play much higher token generator than your usual MPBs

Every MPB here is a token generator with the exception being Coltwing itself and the lone Warbluran. This is mainly to support Scramble times two, which is going to bring out Coltwing most of the time. This is the most reliable way to trigger its effect, bar none.

All that you need is one of the MPB generators, Scramble, and two monsters in your opponent's field. Remember, your opponent would have a hard time to kill your card if they don't have two monsters on the field so if your opponent trying to play conservatively, it works to your advantage anyway. Also Hamstrato is just amazing with Scramble times two; the synergy between these two cards and Coltwing is too obvious.

Gearframe is searchable with Gigant X although usually Chidori is the more preferred Rank 4 and you dont usually go for Rank 4 anyway. Having more option is always nice.

While Scramble let you search for Coltwing from deck, Black Garden is here exactly for being Monster Reborn for six of your maindeck monsters. It's essentially your 4th, 5th, and 6th copies of Scramble. Something as simple Garden + Tetherwolf can easily turn into an explosive play. Even as a standalone card, it allows you to control the board and let you switch seamlessly between control or aggro state.

Little Update (Disaster)

Fairly satisfied with this so far

- Just saw Richard Clarke's build. I'm not sold on triple MST AND TWO Forbidden Lance. Such dedication in undefined meta is troubling imo. His build has a very solid matchup against Verz though.

- Clarke also didn't play Debris Dragon and Scapegoat. I did the opposite, taking full advantage of Goat with higher Tuner count. He has VERY few way to access Black Rose Dragon, which is very relevant in heavy backrow (or frontrow even) format.

- Scapegoat is really really good against IDIOTS who think 2nd turn MST against single backrow is a good play. If I open Scapegoat + multiple traps, my go to move would most likely be to just set the Scapegoat and pass.

- Dandylion is good. Lonefire is not and Spore without Lonefire is stupid, so....

- Mist Bird Clausolas is a Debris target.

Disaster Dragon

While the Rulers suffer from an inevitable fall, the Disaster stands the test of time. Again.

3 Blaster
3 Tempest
3 Redox
2 Koa'ki Meiru Drago
2 Debris Dragon
2 Masked Dragon
2 Exploder Dragon
1 Golem Dragon
1 Yamata Dragon
1 Flamvell Guard

3 Gold Sarcophagus
2 Scapegoat
2 Pot of Duality
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Heavy Storm
1 Book of Moon
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Smashing Ground

2 Mirror Force
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Vanity's Emptiness
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Solemn Warning

EDIT:  Since TCG has got a different list - definitely one of the best decision Konami has ever made - this deck would be slightly underpowered for TCG format. Basically it lose a lot of 'power card' and two Sarco getting hit especially is a real blow to the consistency provided from the toolboxing.

This is the change I would made for the time being (still under testing). Its more defensive to compensate for lesser consistency

Out:
all card that is illegal under TCG list

In:
+ 2 Maxx "C"
+ 1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
+ 1 Scapegoat
+ 2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast

Machine Beatdown

Decklist here :

http://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=97499

Might take out Malevolent for, maybe a Mirror Force

The amount of time I OTK with Call/Reasoning is crazy

Had a fun duel at Ygopro playing vs Evilswarm : so the dude thought i was some noob playing Exodia as all that he saw was me playing Cyber Phoenix and set 4 (three of them are bluff spells). He put 5 monsters on board to get rid of Scapegoat tokens and put a clock on me. Next turn I flip my set Dark Hole and had Solemn for Pandemic. With empty board, I went double Reasoning into Jinzo and Trooper and summoned Gearframe into a Fortress and got him down to 0 straight from 8k. xD

Didn't get a chance to record that but I have another sample duel here:

The Trick Monarch

Not sure if Unearthing's effect is mandatory yet, (it seems so at devpro but you never know). If not, just drop a copy of Caius and replace Raiza with Mobius. Anyway i think Ghostrick standard build is ...rather slow and Stein is not reliable enough

1 Dark Armed Dragon
3 Caius the Shadow Monarch
3 Ghostrick Kyonshee
3 Ghostrick Lantern
3 Ghostrick Specter
2 Tour Guide From the Underworld
2 Raiza the Storm Monarch
1 Kuraz the Light Monarch

3 Ghostrick House
2 Unearthing of the Monarch
2 Pot of Duality

1/9 B** Wishlist

I don't usually do this, mind...

Forbidden:
Card Destruction
Ultimate Offering

Limited:
Atlantean Dragoons
Evilswarm Ophion
Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
Number 11: Big Eye
Spellbook of Judgment
Spellbook of Secrets
Super Rejuvenation

Semi-Limited:
Mermail Abysslinde
Spellbook Magician of Prophecy
Book of Moon
Fire Formation - Tenki
Gold Sarcophagus

Unlimited:
Thunder King Rai-Oh
Tsukuyomi

Some opinion:
Both cards that I choose to ban is a non-specific win condition (for more than one deck)

As for Judgment and Rejuvenation, they are archetype specific wincon. As long as Gateway of the Six stays Limited, it is hard to see Konami banning them yet.

(Side note: it is intriguing to see Prophecy with Judgment untouched while Secrets is banned...)

Ophion is roughly in similar mould to Shi En, and is unhealthy for the game but at 1, should be fair enough

It sure is good to be able to answer Dracossack and Ophion without a looming fear of another copies hitting the board.

Dragoons to 1 is long overdue, but I would also like to see Linde getting hit, either semi'd or to 1. We have come a long way since Genex Mermail hit the scene, and Mermail has evolved as Teus and later, Tidal made their way into the deck. Honestly Mermail is ridiculously consistent and the only deck in Yugioh able to challenge the basic notion of deckbuilding. Tidal Mermail would be in top contention next format surely so a precautionary step is more or less a necessity to avoid the biggest problem with current format: the unbelievably huge gap between top deck and the rest of the tier.

As for Fire Fist, I would only put Tenki to 2. If the format slows down, people would maindeck more copies of MST again, and indirectly would hit Fire Fist. Rai-Oh being released out of the list would also indirectly hit the archetype.

Basically all of the cards in Semi list (bar Book of Moon) is there for reason related to consistency; each hitting top 4 decks

Lastly, if Solemn Waning doesn't go to 2, at the very least I want to see Book of Moon getting semi'd instead.

HERO's Revelation (w/ bonus article)

If you are one of the only two mods left in forum and you have time to write this, you got a massive respect from me. Read this for your own favour - JJ's 20,000 Words (and counting) Guide to Competitve Events (Incomplete)

http://forum.tcgplayer.com/showthread.php?356994-JerkJerk-s-Guide-to-Competitive-Events

.

Alright, now try to name one card in Yugioh with closest resemblance to Sphinx's Revelation.

You'll be hard pressed to answer this a year ago but the fact that we currently have two in this meta (Super Rejuvenation and Spellbook of Judgment) surely speaks of something? Sphinx costs XXWUU for it to even net you an advantage, those two cards only have requirements, with no cost attached.

Is there any hope for other deck to compete then?

Surely there is still hope for escape.

One of the alternative way to fight Sphinx effect is by casting Sphinx yourself (when your opponent has tapped out ofc).

Enter this :

2 Summoner Monk
3 Elemental Hero Neos Alius
1 Elemental Hero Stratos
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness

3 Gemini Spark
2 A Hero Lives
2 Miracle Fusion
3 Upstart Goblin
2 Soul Taker
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Pot of Duality
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Heavy Storm
1 Reinforcement of the Army

3 Hope For Escape
2 Breakthrough Skill
2 Compulsory Evacuation Device
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Wall of Revealing Light
1 Starlight Road
1 Solemn Judgment

This is essentially a Hero Beat, tuned to fit in Hope For Escape for value. For each damage you receive, you paid, or you give to the opponent, you will get some value off them.

If you notice, there is another version of this that was posted earlier : http://dosesofdeck.blogspot.com/2013/05/false-hope-for-escape.html

Lavalval Chain Changes Everything

I have a firm dislike for Crystal Blessing for so long, on top of other low utility spells of the archetype. For me, the only relevant cards for CB was Beacon and Promise. However, when Lavalval Chain comes out, it allows Crystal Beast to gain a pace or two to match current decks. I can either stack Pegasus or drop it to the grave and revive with Blessing. Furthermore, Lord of Tachyon Galaxy brings about one of the best revival card of late. Below is what I have before testing :

3 Maxx C
3 Photon Thrasher
3 Pegasus
3 Topaz
2 Ruby

3 Crystal Beacon
3 Crystal Promise
2 Crystal Blessing
2 Crystal Release
2 Pot of Duality
2 Rare Value
1 Crystal Abundance
1 Dark Hole
1 MST
1 RoTA
1 Monster Reborn
1 Swords of Concealing Light

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Breakthrough Skill
2 Pinpoint Guard

One for one removal like Smashing Ground used to be a staple for the archetype but they have taken a back seat as more cards of Forbidden Lance niche is released. Some access to mass removal wont hurt though, if only as a mean to stabilise before getting to combo pieces. Concealing Light can be treat in the same mould and it allows for some nifty trick too. It will more often than not bait MST (important in this deck), and it combos with Lightning Chidori!

Pinpoint Guard is very very good. This MST/Storm-less format might just turn out to be a blessing for this card. Also worth noting (fwiw), this Top 8 Madolche deck play a copy of Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.

As I get to testing, here's the unfortunate thing: I faced no meta deck in devPro TCG rated. All are random decks like Gravekeepers, Monarch, Scrap, even Ancient Gear (fucking otk with 8800 trample fusion) and I lost to lots of them. My Maxx C is useless in most matchup and doesnt help at all when I draw dead spells.

So I get back to editing/trying out stuff and finalise with this fix:

- 1 Thrasher
- 1 RoTA
- 1 Maxx C

+ 2 Cardcar D
+ 1 Tsukuyomi

Cardcar D helps out sooo much, and along with Maxx C iron out those occassional bad hands that I'd often get. Tsukuyomi is amazing too. Oddly similar to Dragon Ruler, this deck doesnt really normal summon much after the first Pegasus summon so having a recyclable monster is just neat. Its also an answer to most annoying stuff (special mention to Jowgen) and a follow up play with Lightning Chidori can get nasty.

That New "Perfect Circle"

2 Destiny Hero - Plasma
3 Phantom Skyblaster
3 Verz Mandragora
2 Photon Thrasher
2 Summoner Monk
1 Tsukuyomi
1 Spore
1 Dandylion
1 Dark Armed Dragon

3 Upstart Goblin
2 Enemy Controller
2 Pot of Duality
2 Creeping Darkness
1 Book of Moon
1 Night Beam
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Monster Reborn
1 Scapegoat
1 Allure of Darkness

2 Safe Zone
2 Breakthrough Skill
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Solemn Warning

The deck doesn't need Destiny Draw. You never want to discard Plasma since it is quite simply the reason you play the deck.

The deck's title is stupid, there is nothing to be circled, no Avarices, no Monarchs, no Disk Commander, no triple Malicious etc etc

It only want to do one thing, drop Plasma into play at consistent basis. 2 Monks, RotA, Stratos and 2 Plasma - 6 out of 37.

Phantom Skyblaster is very important. Against inexperienced player, it is an Effect Veiler bait. If it isn't Veiler'd you will have two Tokens to work with. When you go into Lavalval Chain, the opponent with little experience of the deck might Veiler'd it. Perfect timing for Plasma drop.

The more experienced players will save their Veiler for Plasma. Lavalval Chain will have a chance to resolve, so make the most of it.

Upstart Goblin is incredibly good if you can drop Lavalval Chain consistently, which is what this deck do. You can tutor just about any monsters, which explains why I play Dark Armed Dragon.

Enemy Controller is unbelievably good against Veiler and especially, Dracossack. Who knows people might just tech Plasma into E-Drags for mirror :p

Dracossack can still tribute itself to destroy Plasma; Safe Zone and Breakthrough Skill are your line of defense for Plasma

Creeping Darkness is the best card in the deck.

What Dracossack Is Meant To Be

Exam is over. Probably going to drop out of the grad school but whatever..

Debating whether splashing one Saizan is worth it, which mean I have to bump Burei count to 2.

This is one of my favourite deck concept. Token-based deck has long been a feature of competitive scene in MtG and interesting to see Konami releasing something like this. They are actually doing an okay job with newer archetype. Just a shame Spellbook of Judgment and Dragon Babies had to exist.

3 Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms
3 Tether-Wolf
3 Black-Falcon
2 Blue-Impalase
1 Harri-Ard
1 Mega-Raptor

Disclaimer : This is the first time I play Mermail, or anything of its sort

I want to see how small can the Mermail engine goes, while trying to incorporate Miracle Fusions and this is how it ends up. Its ridiculous how easy I can tutor into Ice Edge that I only need one copy of it here, while still able to play a full set of Miracle Fusion. Linde + Gunde is just.....ridiculous. Okay random thing to say but I don't see the game returning to where it was 5 years ago anywhere soon.

Silvylon

First time playing Vylon but the list is roughly what I have in mind. Overall its a superfun deck but has several flaws such as the inability to special summon tuners. I mean, Photon Lead isnt exactly helping much

  • Vylon Cube + Tefnuit = Vylon Alpha
  • Vylon Tetra + Tefnuit = Vylon Epsilon
  • Photon Thrasher + Vylon Prism =  Vylon Epsilon

Archfiend. Palace Version.

After getting tired of dead drawing Archfiend Cavalry and Commander during early game, I made this:

3 Dark Grepher
3 Trick Archfiend
2 Trance Archfiend
2 Genesis Archfiend
2 Tour Guide From the Underworld
2 Stygian Street Patrol
2 Battle Fader
2 Maxx "C"

2 MST
2 Falling Down
1 Archfiend Palace
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Foolish Burial
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole

3 Archfiend's Roar
2 Breakthrough Skill
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Solemn Warning

Just one thing to note : your primary target for Trick Archfiend early on should always be Archfiend's Roar, which you will use to revive Trick again. Do this and try to hold on until you have stabilise and have a hand that's decent enough to make plays.

Basically Grepher has two options when you draw him. 1) Trade your irrelevant monster by dumping Trick and 2) If you have Patrol, discard it to dump Trick and search for Trance; special summon it. Now you have a floater and field of 3200 bodies - and potentially another 800 damage with GGGG-Man.

The Hanzos and Tefnuits are fodders for the dragons. Important to note that both can search for other attribute (Koumori Dragon and NAST)

Eclipse Wyvern is the primary target for NAST

Only 2 Tefnuit because handstuck (is that a word?) with 2 Tefnuit sucks

Gorz with continuous traps arent compatible but i have LaDD to mitigate this

Enemy Controller + either of mini chaos dragon/tefnuit make it easy to summon LaDD

1 Monster Reborn

2 Torrential Tribute

1 Threatening Roar

Black Garden + Summoning Curse is fuuuu....nnn. Summon Pa/Ma, 2nd summon and proceed to Omega, strip 3 off your opponent hand.

Constellar Omega is unaffected by Black Garden. With Garden on, Omega will tower over anything under 4800 original attack.

Only 2 of each Hunder Parent to lessen the chance of drawing both.  Pahunder/Mahunder is only good when you have them together with card that has replace itself. This is the reason for me playing Wattcobra here. Granted, lower numbers of Pa/Ma will decrease the odd of Shock Master happening. In fairness, replacing Vylon Prisms with 3rd copies of Pahunder and Mahunder doesn't sound like a bad idea. Prism is only good when paired with Hunders.

Extra Deck : Bunch of Rank 3, 4, 6, 7, Gustav Max, and Stardust.

I was trying to build a deck based on Wisel + Ancient Forest and initially played with a couple of Terraforming and Meklord Fortress to search for Wisel. Eventually I figured Gear Gigant X can be used to tutor Wisel and Phantom Beast works nicely with the Forest too so I give the deck a try although it has to be said that this is my first time playing Phantom Beast.

Having said that, I would like to try Machina variant of the build and see whether it is better than pure build

Kushano merit its place here solely because of its stats. It is a Tour Guide target , that is LIGHT, and is a Level 3 FIEND TUNER. Here's some notable Synchros that the deck can gain access to :

Also it can be recycled with Alchemist if needed

1 Starlight Road
1 Flamvell Counter
1 CED
1 Safe Zone

Haze/Hazy Beast turns out to be the least competitive out of the recent three fire archetypes so naturally, that is going to caught my eye. Most build that I saw play full set of Haze Pillar and goes heavy on monster with a splash of Flamvell or Fire King. I am not the biggest fan of Pillar, and I don't think Basilicock is resilient enough to warrant it being used as the main focus of the deck.

I've just built this off the top of my head and is a bit unusual take on the archetype but it is roughly what Im thinking about
