First off, what does Shining Angel brings to the table?

1) An alternative decent opening to Pegasus. 2) Special Summon Ruby !

Yes, Shining Angel is (and has always been) lacking in good target but I am not using it for its toolbox ability. Crystal Beast doesn't need a huge monster lineup so not that it matter anyway if it has only 1/2 target here. It can search for the lone copy of D.D. Warrior Lady which present a very good answer to lots of threat which are otherwise would be a headache for typical Crystal Beast deck.

The deck want to achieve a simpified game state with removals followed by any of the 5 Crystal spells that allow for Ruby play. In my opinion, the existence of XYZ will favor a Crystal Beck deck which focus on higher trap count than the Rainbow Ruin + Abundance variant.

Heavy Storm : While 'theorectically' this is counter productive, actually this is one of my best weapon. It's quite usual for people to set all their traps when going up against Crystal Beast.

Crystal Release : Some will argue that Horn of the Phantom Beast is superior but I will at least put 1 in any Crystal Beast variant. It's a pseudo Pegasus, and Pegasus is the bread and butter of Crystal Beast.

1 copy of Solemn Warning is a personal preference. I don't feel safe with Solemns brigade here. The deck doesn't hold field presence well enough that it is almost guaranteed to take a lot of damage in battle. Instead of 2 Warning, Im going with 2 Bottomless.

I was about to post my Archfiend deck but I've been testing this tonight instead so I'll just do this first and Archfiend later.

A Little Bit of Magic - Blink

A bit depressed now. Actually didn't plan to write until I received a good news on my reassessment result. Anyhow here's my current Magic deck. I still play casually at times but less so than I play DN now that the format is getting better.

2 Birds of Paradise
4 Avacyn's Pilgrim
3 Strangleroot Geist
4 Nightshade Peddler
4 Borderland Ranger
4 Blade Splicer
2 Fiend Hunter
4 Restoration Angel
2 Silverblade Paladin

4 Cavern of Soul
4 Razorverge Thicket
5 Plains
5 Forest
2 Gavony Township
4 Sunpetal Grove

3 Cloudshift
4 Day of Judgment

Lots of the stuff here will be getting rotated anyway and what not Day of Judgment doesn't play into the deck theme theoretically but oh well. I've been playing g/w mostly ever since I learned Magic back in July, whether it is control or aggro human and i'm settled on Blink for the time being.

There will be another Yugioh decklist post in the next few hours so look out for that.

edit note: this is too fun. I played 10! ramp dorks but top the curve at Resto.... talk about realLOL

Moon Eye Plan (not)

Apparently Tsukuyomi is un-Ban so it seems like I can play this again.

3 Gravekeeper's Spy
2 Effect Veiler
2 Debris Dragon
2 Tour Guide From the Underworld
1 Night Assailant
1 Tsukuyomi
1 Dandylion
1 Lonefire Blossom
1 Spore
1 Sangan
2 Spirit Reaper
2 Thunder King Raiou
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning

2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Pot of Duality / Mind Control + One for One
1 Pot of Avarice
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Scapegoat
1 Nobleman of Crossout
0/1 Enemy Controller / Allure of Darkness

2 Torrential Tribute

2 Dimensional Prison
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Magic Drain

Couple of points :

Spy engine is the closest thing to Tengu. With double Spy, you can still go Lonefire to Spore to Librarian + LV8 Synchro/Rank 4

Tsukuyomi : Great with Spies. From double Spy, I can summon Tsukuyomi and go to double Rank 4.

Night Assailant vs Dark Resonator : Assailant is simply superior. I can ditch it with One for One and grab Spy back. It is also a Debris target. Although if you prefer Resonator, you have the additional option of Arcanite.

Nobleman of Crossout : Book, Tsukuyomi.... and Maestroke. I'm glad I can play this again

Prison vs. Bottomless : I prefer Prison slightly because if Kristya/Grapha already hit the field, Bottomless isn't going to help much.

Magic Drain : My favourite tech; Hero and Dark World rely a lot on their spells. Almost guaranteed negation for late game

E-con/Allure : I put it as 0/1 to indicate an option whether I want the deck to stay at 40 or just bump it to 41/42 with either cards

Among all of Rank 4, Lavalval Chain is simply the best for the deck, the synergy it has is crazy good. Very unfortunate it's unavailable for TCG so you have to settle on Maestroke/Utopia.

Minor banlist thought - We are probably going to see MST at 3 for the next couple of formats. Level Limit and Cylinder at 3 is a poor decision in my opinion. What next? Imperial Order to 1?

TeleDAD... or was it?

No, this is not Teleport Dark Armed Dragon. I consider it dead after Malicious goes to 2. Why was it called TeleDAD anyway - Plaguespreader was pretty much the main tuner after it was released and some did not even ran Teleport during that time.

This has been sitting on my draft for quite a while and I'm a bit hesitant to post this without extensive testing. However, since there've been a lack of post during the last few days due to school commitment, figured it might be necessary to post something decent

2 Armageddon Knight
2 Mystic Tomato
2 Effect Veiler
2 Destiny Hero - Plasma
2 Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude
1 Destiny Hero - Doom Lord
1 Elemental Hero Stratos
1 Dark Armed Dragon
1 Dark Grepher
1 Sangan
1 Necro Gardna
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Plaguespreader Zombie
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness

2 Creature Swap
2 Destiny Draw
2 Over Destiny
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Heavy Storm
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Scapegoat
1 Reinforcement of the Army

2 Compulsory Evacuation Device
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment

While the past TeleDAD operated with aim to perform double synchro summon, this deck is more in tune with current meta, forgoing the LV8 Synchros in favor of Rank 4 XYZ summon, thus dropping the often volatile Destiny Hero - Malicious.

This variant is made possible by one card - Over Destiny. The whole deck is structured to support Over Destiny and even a high utility card , the likes of Tour Guide, wasn't picked in favor for the more synergy-friendly Tomato engine. The plan is to get Plasma to the Graveyard as soon as possible to bring Over Destiny online. Once Plasma is in the grave, you can do a lot of fun thing with Over Destiny.

Creature Swap is amazing here and while it can be used with either of Tomato or Over Destiny, the best play you can do is to combine both : summon Diamond Dude with Over Destiny, use his effect, followed by Swapping your Tomato, and attacking it with Diamond Dude.

Dark Grepher is almost the equivalent of Bubbleman.(In fact, I've tried a variant with triple Grepher and Trade-In which is a bit inconsistent). You can summon Stratos, get Plasma, dump it to Special Summon Dark Grepher and proceed to Rank 4. Also, most of the Level 4 in this deck is a Warrior which allow for access to Heroic Champion - Excalibur and Blade Armor Ninja.

I probably don't need to elaborate on how brilliant Over Destiny is with Leviair and what a difference can Lavalval Chain makes. Barring a Veiler, opening up with Over Destiny and Armageddon Knight is going to set your Graveyard to 3 Darks, and a 2nd turn DAD.
