February is on !

I have a couple of anti-meta build , here's the first one i'm posting

3 Tuned Magician
3 Crusader of Endymion
3 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
2 Gemini Summoner
1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

3 Secret Village of Spellcaster
2 Gemini Spark
2 Pot of Duality
2 Terraforming

3 Macro Cosmos
2 Gagagaback
2 Call of the Haunted
blah blah solemns etc.

It's simple, Secret Village holds off any MSTs and Heavy Storm while I spam backrow with protctions. Gagagaback, CotH keeps field presence. Other than that, I prefer Macro Cosmos this format than Skill Drain. Both works against Zectors anyway. But the problem with Skill Drain deck is usually the deck is too reliant on it. If you don't draw it, your monster is just vanilla cards. If you don't draw Cosmos, you can still rely on your cards such Wanghu, Banisher etc. Though there's small drawback in that I cannot run Maxx "C".

3 of Each !

Hey peeps.

Was scrolling through my old post on TCGPlayer. There's this weekly deck competition which I forgot I'd won for one of those week. It was a Three of Each Attribute Week. The rule is fairly straightforward, three of each wind, dark, etc. which means 18 monsters on total and the rest of spell/trap lineup you can pretty much throw whatever you feel is supportive to the deck theme.

Here was my build back then,

18. 13. 9

3 Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
3 Debris Dragon
3 Cyber Valley
1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
2 Dandylion
2 Snowman Eater
1 Treeborn Frog
1 Sangan
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness

3 Smashing Ground
3 Book of Moon
2 My Body As a Shield
1 Heavy Storm
1 Brain Control
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Scapegoat
1 Swords of Revealing Light

3 Dimensional Prison
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Mirror Force
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Trap Dustshoot

There is some nice synergy there with Thesty, Debris and all but in fairness other's deck was also interesting too. Anyway, If I decided to rebuild, this is what the monster lineup is going to be

3 Gravekeeper's Spy
3 Effect Veiler
3 Snowman Eater
2 Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
1 Lonefire Blossom
1 Glow-Up Bulb
1 Maxx "C"
1 Debris Dragon
1 Spore
1 Vortex Trooper !

(Didn't need to write the spell trap lineup , pretty much standard Plant Synchro support)

Here's another version ,

3 Hydrogeddon
3 Reborn Tengu

Have fun !

I've been playing Fortune Lady Piper variant and it has been quite consistent. It has a firepower that standard Piper lack in Lady Dark. And on top of the Piper engine, have Fortune's Future to filter option. I had made 2 card changes from the last time I posted the decklist. And it was a beneficial change,

- 2 D.D. Sprite
+ 2 Cyber Valley

- 2 Wonder Wand
+ 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device

Sprite was included intention-wise to remove my Ladies to be used for F-Future. However, in testing I found that the only think that is Sprite-able is Lady Light. In fact, I generally stay away from using Sprite in all my Ladies variant now. It slows down the play and quite horrible to be honest. What Cyber Valley does that Sprite didn't is Valley is not dead on it's own. It adds another layer of defense on top of Faders and Trags. When I have F-Future in hand, I have the option to toolbox ANY cards from Graveyard and draw it with Future. The combo play will cost -1 but it's worth it - it makes Future live card, it dumps Light/Dark into the grave (banished first) .

After serious testing, I figured Wand wasnt really needed. It was redundant. I seriously contemplating calling myself stupid for trying to insert more draw power into a deck called PIPER fucking CHAOS. Compulsory is wayyyy better. Re-use Trag, Sorcerer, BLS, etc. etc. and of course , trigger Light.

Now, on to the deck. What does Ladies give in terms of advantage over normal Piper deck? First, another target for Kinka-Byo in Lady Light. Typical variant normally lack beater and you don't win no matter if you have 3456 cards in your hand if your opponent's LP is not in the state of 'zero'. Summoning Lady Dark is as easy as Kinka-ing Lady Light. This Kinka play is even better if I have Creature Swap. I will also be set for any F-Future play later on. What Lady Dark brings to the table is not just 2k stats but also the aggressiveness by summoning another Lady Dark if the effect is successful FOLLOWED by Tiras/Adreus summon. This is a devastating range of play.

Fleur. Prototype I

As I scrolled through past format decks that I had been used on DN, I stumbled upon my Crystal Beast deck. It is not your typical Crystal Beast deck, utilising plant engine and only up to 7 Crystal-related cards. My trap lineup is : 3 Limit Reverse and 2 Call of the Haunted. The plan is to abuse Ruby special summoning effect and use Pegasus as a fodder for synchro summon. Of course, the traps also work with plant engine, especially useful since now Lonefire Blossom is Limited.

To cut long story short, I decided to replace the Crystal engine with Fleurs.

3 Tour Guide From the Underworld
2 Sorciere De Fleur
2 Necro Fleur
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Maxx "C"
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness

2 Enemy Controller
2 Shield Crush
1 Pot of Avarice
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mind Control
1 Scapegoat

Tech update ;

Speaking of King Tiger Wanghu, Safe Zone makes it really hard to get over it. Centipede bypass Wanghu but Wanghu is the first thing opp will target for Hornet so Safe Zone can be chained to that. Also, the high beaters will not beatface The King anymore.

Speaking of Safe Zone, there is an out to it. D.D Warrior Lady.

Forbidden Chalice is good ygo. You can virtually make any play and chain Chalice when the Rabbit player trying to negate. At least, before your opponent chain his very own Forbidden Lance.
Hey folks, Im totally knackered. Tomorrow got an exam but Im mostly thinking about way to utilise Sorciere De Fleur right now rather than books/notes....which is shameful admittedly.

Let's get this out of mind, shall we...

For Sorciere to be summoned, Necro Fleur need to be destroyed by card effects. This is quite hard to achieve but not mightily impossibru. Past deck has variant from Quickdraw to Scrap. I want to think of new way to use Necro. First off, there is Fragrance Storm, a potential Pot of Greed in a dedicated plant build. I dont think this is a good idea though as it restricts the deckbuilding process. Next, we have Limit Reverse. I can activate it during opp's ep and simply switch Necro to defense mode during my turn to trigger Necro. Lavalval Chain can help to dump Necro to Graveyard. Next, I can also use Shield Crush. For more fun, I can use King Tiger Wanghu and tweak the deck into antimeta-based. Wanghu will trigger Necro when I summon it and bam(!) Sorciere comes. Wanghu is good against Rabbit, TGU, Plant, Damsel but fall short versus Dark World, Centipede, Kabazauls-etc. and probably Agent matchup too. Tengu is its worst enemy.

There is a problem of Sorciere becomes a dead card when drawn. Necro only summon it from deck so I need to be able to make use of Sorcie when drawn. How to use it? Magical Explosion?

One of the advantage of Necro is, against Inzektor, your opponent can destroy it, you summon Sorcy and grab their Hornet. Fun, fun. Against Rabbit, if they do not read Necro properly, Laggia might negate its summon, triggering its effect.

So far as for decklist, we have this,

2 Sorciere de Fleur
2 Necro Fleur

2 Shield Crush

2-3 Limit Reverse
1 Coth

These are format staples : 1-2 Veiler, H-Storm, D-Hole, Reborn, probably a MST, Dustshoot, and prolly Solemns and Torren too.

Btw, Necro is Lv1. Potential use in Piper deck.

---

If we want to go with the plant route, (or perhaps a necessity) ,

1 Glow-Up Bulb
1 Dandylion
1 Spore
1 Lonefire Blossom

1 Foolish Burial
1 One for One
